More than one job problem...

Hi guys & gals.
I have a issue. I mean, at least it's somewhat of a decent one.
I currently work with a after school club (extra hours for school holidays as we open) but generally I work roughly 12 hours a week on min wage.
However this past week. I've applied for two different jobs as a extra income and got both! I have time to do all three but this is where my issue occurs..
I currently pay no tax or NI on above hours
The second job is 7 hours weekly. Min wage
Third job is 13 hours a week. 8.60 per hour.
I don't get any benefits. So am I right in thinking that the only person I need to tell is the tax man?
Also, I have done marriage allowance for my husband to get a better tax rate. Will this be affected?
Oh and to add, I'm currently under taking a work based nvq placement with job one. I paid for that myself. But does this need declaring too?
Sorry if this post is a bit all over. Currently dashing out the door for work. Thanks in advance. :money:

You don't need to tell the tax office anything, what you must do is make sure you complete a new starter form with each new employer. The employer should give you this and if you want to avoid getting in a pickle you should complete both to say each of these new jobs is NOT your main job (used to be statement C).
These new employers will then put you on BR tax code and deduct 20% tax. After you have been paid once by each new employer you should work out how much you think you will earn at each of your three jobs during this tax year (so not the annual amount but the actual amount to next April) then phone HMRC and let them know your expected income and ask them to split your tax free allowance between the three jobs in whatever way works best for you.
If you have spare allowances to use against either of the new jobs a new tax code will be sent to the employer and you will get a refund of any tax overpaid next time that employer pays you.
Marriage Allowance will still apply unless either you or hubby start paying 40% tax so you should think of your allowance as £10,350 not the normal £11,500.
One of you could cancel the Marriage Allowance if you really wanted to but if your hubby is earning enough salary to get the full benefit of the Marriage Allowance tax reduction then it's swings and roundabouts.
Not really sure what you mean about declaring the nvq, are you being paid by someone else to do it?0 -
A rough calculation
12 @ min = £90wk £4,680yr
7 @ min = £52.50wk £2,730yr
13 @ £8.60 = £111.80wk £5,813.6
£254.30wk £13,233.6yr
That's a full year so you will need to get the tax code split right by then
Is any job likely to have more or less hours
something like(for £10,350) £4K,£2k,£4,350
That 3rd job is so close to getting NI credits and can go up to £155 before payments kick in.
for this tax year will be 1 job about 6 month all 3 about 6 months
Total will be around £8951.80 -
There are huge advantages to having one of the jobs paying over the National Insurance LEL.
At his level, you get credit towards your state pension, but don't have to pay any NI!
See the first two lines of this table for the weekly amounts: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/rates-and-allowances-national-insurance-contributions/rates-and-allowances-national-insurance-contributions
Note that it needs to be ONE JOB that pays over the LEL to get this advantage - strange, but true.0
