Theyre just trying to scare you off, do what Martin said include your first letter again pointing out that you were forced to take the ppi in order to have the loan and that you will pass the case onto the obudsman or whoever it is?0

Hi Big Chief, I can help you. PM with your contact details. dont give up whatever you do, You will win.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0 -
So will Welcome Finance only proviude loans if you take out PPI. Is that legally allowed?. When reclaiming PPI you paid over the loan term with WF is it definate that you will get it back or more of a struggle and those that do get it back are the lucky ones?0

There is no luck required if you know what you are about. The lenders will try to mucky the water so that you give up.
If you paid for insurance over the term of a WF loan you will be due redress in full. The chances are that the loan itself may be questionable depending on how you got it and when.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

Hi Guys
Hope im in correct thread sorry if not,I too had a loan off welcome finance back in 2002 for a car,we had no choice but to take out the PPI as it wasnt explained it was optional at the time and a it was made condition of buying the car.
Anyways after 7 hours stuck in a building and given 5 cars to choose from we eventually signed the forms etc was done in a rush really because we'd been there all day.
The car was £4k plus about £3k interest at 34.9%
PPI was £1.5k plus about £2.6k interest at 31.1%
Additional breakdown cover, and other insurances etc
Total £11k monthly payments £249
From the start we had faults with the car and had to go between Yes Car Credit and Welcome Finance but nobody would admit it was their jobs to fix faults so nothing got done. This went on for nearly 14mths until i wrote off to a Women's magazine called "Womens Own" a guy in the magazine had a column for consumer complaints and tried to help if he could.
So basically he took our case on against Welcome and Yes Car Credit till finally an independant Mechanic came out to assess the car and straight away said it wasnt road worthy and should never have been on the road.
Within a week Welcome Finance collected the car and finance was Nil.......
My question is can we claim back PPI and all the other insurances we were told we had to have?. For the length of time we had the car by rights Welcome should of paid back ever penny we had paid due to the fact the car had so many faults to start with
Thanks in advance for any advice :A0 -

Hi Guys
Ive had a couple of loans with WelcomeFinance over the last 4-5 years and also a car loan with Yes Car Credit, all paid off, the car bout 2 years and the the last last loan about 3 years,I dont have any paperwork (fool) but no doubt there was PPI on them,do you think ive any chance of reclaiming
Any feedback greatly appreciated0 -
Hi Twinkletoe.
Yes there is something you can do regarding your car loan. I have no doubts that we can recover your insurance premiums and some. I will pm you with contact details.
For reference the majority of car loans can be questioned in a number of ways. The outcomes will vary from refund of insurance premiums plus interest to receiving all payments made on the loan to date, plus you keep the car.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
