You are not liable for service charges or any bills arising from that property once you go bankrupt, you are not liable for utilitiy bills there either,
What is your current living arrangements? Renting or mortgaged also?0 -

Not liable after bankruptcy or repossession?
I would have thought that bankruptcy draws a line, but that anything post bankruptcy but still in your name may make you liable.
Repossession would mean that the property is no longer yours and therefore the service charge will revert to the lender and utilities (would be turned off) would also not be your problem.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. No everything to do with that property that she has surrendered is now covered by the bankruptcy and the appointed or is responsible for it,
I have a couple of properties still in my name that haven't been repossessed yet and I'm due to pass out my 3 years IPA in 6 months and the appointed or remains in charge of it till they are disposed of, I haven't been liable for any council tax, utilities, interest fees or survey fees from any of the properties0
