Hey all just abit of advice i'm a first time buyer trying to get a shared ownership mortgage i've tried the usual high street banks and using their calculators i am able to get an AIP for a value at least 10-15k more than i need but when i go into the branch and actually try to apply the amount they can give me is 25k less…

We were originally told we could get 60% shared ownership but the housing association did a proper check as they use brokers to work it all out and they said we could have 50% and found the right mortgage for us, does your housing association not do this for you? We had to use their brokers but they’ve been really helpful throughout the process x
