DMP Help

Two quick problems which I need answering. Basic background of the whole situation is I entered a DMP with Payplan around 6 months back and everything is going fine. Phone calls stopped and very few letters. However;1. I had to change banks from Barclays and moved to HSBC with a basic account to pay my money out of. Everything was going fine till Orange took money from my account which wasn't there. They took it on the wrong date after I had changed it a month or so earlier. HSBC said they would close my account unless Orange accepted liability which they won't. So now my task is to find a new bank. My creditors are Dell, Cahoot, Barclays, Barclaycard and Nationwide. I understand I cannot join a bank which have links to one of my creditors, for example Abbey are linked with Cahoot. But I was wondering if anyone knew of any links Lloyds have with any of my creditors. And would it be just a case of going in and setting up an account there and then...2. Yesterday got a letter through the post dated about a week back (damn you Royal Mail and your strikers ;-) ) and in anycase it was from some solicitors acting upon behalf of Dell Financial Services who were trying to obtain the £180 owed to them. However I have received similar letters this seemed to be the most worrying which gave exact dates and such of when to pay by and if not bailiffs etc. QUITE WORRYING. I've messaged my case officer but no response just yet! I'm thinking of asking someone to lend me the money to just pay it off as it isn't "that" much however I'm not sure how this would affect my DMP!? And just hope that my case officer sorts everything out? Please help. Doing my nut in as added to other problems with car, our lass breaking up with me last week, work problems and amongst many other things, this isn't what I really needed at the moment.

    Hi

I wouldn't recomend Lloyds basic account, you only get a cash card which can only be used in their cashpoints. The online banking is rubbish you cant do anything but look at your account. I'm now with co-op who give you an electron card and they have a great online facility which allows you to do transfers etc. I don't think they are linked to any of your creditors.

I wouldn't worry about the letter too much, call or write back and tell them that you are with payplan and pass it on to them, I would think they are all just scare tacticks

I highly recommend the co-op account too. It was very easy to set up over in the phone (in about ten mins).

I can't answer the question about you dell debt unfortuinately but with me the case officers are usually quite good at returning my emails. If they don't repond in a few days, try giving them a ring.
    In debt no more!
