confused over sick pay

Hello
My partner works in public sector and is off ill. Her HR dept have sent a letter about sick pay entitlement. She is entitled to 4 months full pay and 4 months half pay.
The letter states that she will go down to half pay on the 1st October as she will have exhausted full pay. They have stated that she is entitled to 122 days full pay then 122 days half pay.
She is a bit confused as when she counts 122 working days (Monday to Friday) from her first day of sickness that is taking her way beyond 1st October. She then counted it again including weekends and that does take it to 1st October.
Have HR got it right? She is confused as has never had sick pay before (never been off in this job) and she assumed the sick pay would be for working days - Monday to Friday.
If anyone knows that would be helpful (She has contacted her HR and left a message but they have a message saying it could be a week before they respond)
Thanks

122 working days is well over 4 months.
122 days is 365 days in a year divided by 3, which is 4 calendar months.
HR have got it right.0 -
Thanks. Yes - that makes sense now. I am self employed these days so I wasn't much help. Thanks0
