How Do You Find Out When You've Won?

How do you mostly find out that you've won competitions? Do they just arrive - like a CITV toothbrush did for me about 3 years back - or do you get more notice with an email/call or a mention on a winners page?

I hate talking on the phone and ignore lots of calls if they don't leave a message on the answerphone so we can vet the calls, so try not to leave my phone number if I can help it, and I have a seperate email address for competition entering so all the junk mail that they send can go in there.

But yes. My original point. How do you find out?

Theres a thread on this board somewhere that lists all the sites that post their comps and how they notify people - can't find it at the moment though sorry!

I've mostly had emails to let me know that iv'e won :T , i have had one book turn up as a surprise though, but I am yet to receive a winning phone call.
