Self-employed: National Insurance?

Hi all,
I'm going to call HMRC once my contract comes through, but I wanted to see if anyone her knows the answer.
Basically, I'm starting a position with a company and will be contractually required to work a minimum of 7 hours a week, but I can decide what time and day I do this. I will, however, be working approximately 20 hours a week by my own arrangement. For this company, I am classed as self-employed because of this fact.
Being self-employed, I'm meant to base my NI on my profits, but I do not own the company and total annual wage will be less than my single Personal Allowance. So I'm wondering what I'm to do...?

What exactly are you going to be doing? On the face of it it sounds like sham self employment.
Not sure what you're asking. In terms of what you need to be paying HMRC will tell you.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
Being self employed does your account do your books once a year they sort all that out what you owe and take it out of your pay at the end of the year0

No, my understanding is that you pay weekly. See https://www.gov.uk/self-employed-national-insurance-ratesEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0
