Autonet's breaching code of conduct

Today, I received an invitation to renewal my household insurance. To my horror
The Rebuilding Cost does not exceed: £41564
How can anybody rebuild a 3-bedroom house with £41564?
Safe Installed: No. The heavy duty solid metal safe has been there for more than 22 years.
How ridiculous can this company get? When I queried the operative, he blamed me for not reading the terms and conditions of the previous policy. He then put me on hold and then promised a phone call back. I have had no response. AUTONET: please note I won't renew my policy with you. And please correct my building cost: It should be at least £149,999.
Human greed demoralises me.
If you see the name AUTONET, do not click Yes. READ your policy as they are engaged in CREATIVE FICTION WRITING.

Which would you like, the cancellation or the corrected building cost?
It's your job to ensure the policy meets your needs, not your insurers.
If it's that bad, why not pay any relevant cancellation fees and look elsewhere for a likely cheaper deal anyway?0 -
How is it their fault that you couldn't be bothered to check your own details 12 months ago?All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0

Are they linked to esure? Took household insurance out with esure. Stated clearly NO windows locks but when the paperwork arrived it stated window locks on all ground floor windows.
I phoned them but they mentioned admin fees. errr your mistake not mine. We need to listen to calls etc etc...
I left it at that and just fitted the locks.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Listen. they also spelt my name wrongly. Why are you so rude? They obviously had bad house keeping. When the time came for inviting me to renew, they just went to the internet to pull out some ridiculous data. Would you trust an insurer who got your surname spelt wrongly when they sent out an invitation to renew?
Alarm bell rang again and again as the document also said on a later page that the building and content insurance expire on 6 September and yet on the first page, it says 4 October which is the correct date.
I just want to warn people that they should be extra careful when it comes to autonet.0 -

You should threaten to report them to the ombudsman. I had a car insurance with igo4. I stated that at my home address, the car is garaged. And yet, when I looked at the document, it said the car was parked outside and thereby raising my insurance premium. Another thing I have found out is that as soon as other insurer knew that we had smartmiles box installed by igo4, they didn't want to know. By the look of it, I will have to have the box removed or I will be tied to this dishonest insurer until I change car or have the box removed. I have a suspicion that igo4 pays off competition. All these comparison sites are sponsored by some traders. I think we should write to ombudsman suggesting that some changes should be free or the first one should be free. This admin fee is a stranglehold for data change.0 -

I might not trust an insurer who spelt my name wrong. If I'd seen it was spelt wrong, I'd have checked the policy booklet and everything else they'd done as well before renewing!
Is the policy now renewed or not, as first post is a tad ambiguous?0
