  • Well done dunstonh - another wonderfully condescending post - if you can't say anything useful, don't say anything at all!!!!

These products have been a godsend to many of my clients, and along with tomjeffrey they have worked out well for them. It's not like people can self-cert at that level, so every case is only calculated on provable income and affordability. Given the levels of rent you have to pay in our area, they've helped many people get on the ladder, and start to build up some equity, and still pay a similar monthly payment.

Various lenders lend this way jon32 - try Alliance & Leicester, Birmingham Midshires, Abbey and Northern Rock.

Why dont you get back to telling lies on your mortgage applications rather than being critical of what is a valid remark about the state of lending at this time.

  • Grow up dunstonh, does every mortgage broker on the country do that - I don't think so - do you know anything at all about my business - I don't think so - are you cleverer than me - couldn't comment as I don't know you - maybe you should use the same philosophy. Pr*ck

Call me daft if you like but I think to buy a property all lenders should insist on at least a 5% deposit.
  • In an ideal world I would agree chelseablue, but if you have to rent at £750 per month, then it doesn't really give an 'average' person/couple much scope to save. Anyone who bought five years ago by obtaining a mortgage at 100% would be very pleased that they did - and possibly couldn't afford to buy the house that they own today, even with a 5% deposit
