Please can anybody help with suggestions of ways we can approach our creditors to ask for interest & charges to be frozen/reduced or stopped?
We are in a DMP with Payplan but had a depressing moment with our Cahoot Debt last night as they are charging interst still and this has made the debt £400 higher than when we strated payting it:eek: .
Any useful hints and tips will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

If your on a DMP they should send the stop interest letters etc to your creditors on your behalf. I worked at CCCS and they send those letters to creditors. Speak with payplan, ask them if they have sent any or if they can send another one. Advise them they havent stopped the interest. They should have no problems contact your creds or sending further correspondence.0

My PMP is with Payplan, and all my creditors stopped charging interest - one has restarted, but that is after 2 years, so even though they are charging interest, the payment I am making is still reducing things by a good amount each month.
Maybe it's worth asking Payplan if they asked for interest to be frozen, and got a negative response ? Maybe you can ask them to try again[STRIKE]DFW Nerd number 729[/STRIKE]Debt Free & Proud0
