About 3 years ago I bought an "Ebbe Gehl for John Lewis Mira 4-8 Seater Extending Dining Table". It's described as "Made from solid oak with an oiled finish"

Over time the table top has become slightly marked/stained. Have spoken to John Lewis about restoring it but haven't had much more than a shrug and something about "re-oiling it"
So, was wondering what I should be doing? I thought about sandpapering the top but was worried that after doing it it might not match the legs or look odd. Also any advice on what oil to use? I think I remember somebody mentioning osomo oil?
Any advice appreciated.

There are professional oils on the market, you'll find them in the aisles of any DIY store. By only slightly marked, do you mean lightly scratched? This is where a single walnut night help:
