CapQuest - Chasing Statute Barred Debt

Hi All,
I wondered if someone would be kind enough to give me some advice.
CapQuest have recently raised their ugly heads to begin rechasing a statute barred debt. I have never entered into any communication with them and the default is from 2009. Since that point, I have never acknoledged the debt or made any payment towards it.
They are repeatedly calling at different times during the day. How am I best to answer the call? Should I simply request that any communication from them should be in writing and take it from there?

Hi AlmostDebtFree
With this situation it’s best to send a sample letter to Capquest telling them you believe the debt is statute barred. It’s then down to them to prove it isn’t, or stop chasing you. You can either answer one of the calls and tell them you want all contact in writing, or add a sentence to the sample letter saying the same thing.
You can find a sample letter here https://www.nationaldebtline.org/EW/sampleletters/Pages/Time-has-run-out-to-recover-the-debt-(sole-name).aspx
