First Direct Mortgage - Agreement in principal.

Called FD last night and got an agreement in principal.

Thing is i have pet insurance and home insurance to renew within next couple of weeks.

If i take out new policies I assume they'd do credit history searches just wondering would this have an impact on my mortgage application?

Have also got 3 mobile contracts to sort but these can wait.

Home insurance and pet insurance policies wont appear on your credit record - assuming you pay for them up front.

And I think mortgage lenders are quite keen on their customers having home insurance - so it shouldn't be an issue at all.

As for your pets - as long as you can afford to keep them and pay your mortgage that is fine as well.
