Oh lawks, I have to get a new printer, as my ancient one has finally turned up it's toes; I just hope I don't have as much trouble as you've had installing it! Can I ask, what printer did you get, and what operating system are you on? We're looking to stick with an HP printer, and we're running Windows 7 on all our machines.Deleted_User wrote: »Techie managed to get my printer up and running, he said it was one of the worst ones he had ever set up, no wonder I could not do it!!
I think it's great that you're filling the horse-shaped hole in your life; we can never replace our furred friends when they pass on, but we can offer the vacant place to a new friend. :ABusy day yesterday as collected Lulu, she is settling in well although her eyes are on stalks a bit as, being in the fens, she can see for miles and there is a lot to see
Need to get the saddler out as Bill's old one is too long for her, bridle is fine so at least that's one thing won't have to buy.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Gers catching up belatedly. So sorry to hear about DM. Is she at the QE? Horrible having that wait and extra worry. I won't get started on my opinion of the state of the NHS!
Are you going to stay down for a few days? If you are at a loose end I'm working at Queen Street now and can always find an excuse for a lunch break:D
Wish your Mum gute Besserung.
Ok. Must go to gym. Diving at Loch Long tomorrow so everything has to be fitted in today. And Asda had a great YS haul this morning so I have casserole in the slow cooker, and a soup to make when that is finished. Everything else is parcelled and frozen.
Have a great Saturday people.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
I have waited in all morning as a dd was going to phone me.
No phone call so have decided to go on the bus to the supermarket and get a few bits of shopping as there will be four of us for lunch tomorrow and I need a few things for a special recipe.
It has been pouring with rain but seems to have cleared up a bit and I have finished off the towels in the tumble drier.
Hugs to gers, TA, judi and csarina
Once I have got some shopping in I am going to make myself cosy with tea and a good book and put my feet up."This site is addictive!"

Hello all
Managed to get on the internet as it's a bit sketchy at the best of times  but have been reading along when I can.
It's Mr Fix It's birthday today and we're having a day in. We have been out galavanting every day, even though we have been having a mixed bag, weather wise. Today we have given the van and awning a good clean inside and now relaxing with a coffee and some birthday chocolates
.
Tonight I am cooking chicken goujons and chips, followed by a chocolate and toffee tart and washed down by a bottle of wine, which is in the fridge chilling
.
I shall take Mr Fix It out tomorrow to our favourite Chinese restaurant, as Saturdays are always busy and I feel I have to rush my meal. ( I don't have to rush, but I just feel uncomfortable when other people are waiting for a table ).
I hope those who are away or going away for a break, a peaceful, restful and happy time.
Sending healing vibes to anyone who is under par and hugs to anyone who wants or needs one.
Gers I hope your mum has a speedy recovery.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Afternoon all
Mixed weather here and two loads ofwashing got drenched on the line while we were out this morning. DH brought it in and we have given it a sin again in the washing machine. It ia now in the tumble dryer..... sigh.
Gers I hope your mum feels better soon. Take care of yourself too.
Lainey T enjoy the company of your new friend Lulu.
Judi I feel your pain and hope you feel better soon.
I rummaged under the stairs and reviewed my wool stash. I have decided to make an edge to edge crochet blanket as it's a multicolour pinky/yellow/green blue. I shall have to brush up on my edge to edge pattern. Can't you tell Autumn is here?
chilli con carne is in the slow cooker and all is peaceful here.
Have a good afternoon all. hugs and spoons all round.

Afternoon from a very sunny Glasgow.
After my morning of chores I set off to visit DM. Had a call at 11.30'ish to let me know she was being moved to ward 55. Got to QE to find that ward 55 is in a separate building right round the back of the huge building. I know an shortcut a la big yellow shed so it was only half a mile away.
Got to ward 55 - DM not there and not expected! Traipsed back to ARU4, she wasn't there either, was transferred to ward 53 !!!!!!. Traipsed back to the Langlands building and there she was. Woohoo!
Then she asked me to get her a prawn sandwich from the M&S food store way back at the front entrance. I was happy to fetch it. :rotfl:
Anyway, she's very tired and weak but alive. I spoon fed her some chicken broth and took her a flask of tea which she asker by text.
FBO - thanks! I'm hoping to get back home on Monday as I've got the first two teaching sessions this week on Tuesday and Wednesday. It'll all depend on the assessments and the doctors. I'll text you.
No criticism of the staff yesterday, they were flooded with patients and clearly overwhelmed.
I'm going to sit down, drink some tea, read a book and wait for SCD.
Lainey - so good to hear your horsey spirits raised again. I wish you both a happy life together.0 -

LW it was a canon Pixma 5050, my techie recommends Epson, he says the inks are much cheaper than the ink for either HP or Canon.
I operate on Windows 10 and have done for a while now.
Feeling a bit better than I was this morning, it was so cold this afternoon I lit the fire. Will make it up shortly and then let it burn out.0 -
Just typed a long post which vanished into the ether......hope that DM is well again soon Gers , positive vibes and hugs to all in need.

Came home from Pembrokeshire yesterday via the scenic route (coast road to Towyn then across country) and had the first load of washing on within 10 minutes of arriving

Need to spend tomorrow on the allotment and rediscover the greenhouses & French bean frame - hope the waterers haven't been too keen on picking everything!
Gers pleased to read that your DM is improving
