Cycle to work scheme for part time job.

So I only now have a little part time job where the employer offers this perk.
However I don't earn enough to pay tax but I do pay a small amount of NI - A contributions.
Has anyone any experience of if its worth me using this scheme to purchase my next work bike.

I would just get a second hand bike for now then save up to 'upgrade' later. Less hassle if you change jobs.0
