Past retirement age

Is it possible to force an employee to retire when that person is over the national age of retirement.

    No you cannot force someone to retire but you can dismiss them the same as anyone else if they are failing to produce the goods.

    That is not technically correct. There are circumstances in which retirement can be forced, but they are strictly limited. Without any further information from the OP we cannot say whether they can be forced to retire or not.
