On offer at Maplin (possibly instore aswell). Bog-standard wired keyboard and PS/2 mouse, but maplin generally don't overcharge on P&P. Link
The article I read that alerted me to this (here) also pointed to a Wireless combo for £12.98 delivered - but I think you can get that cheaper? (I have seen them for around £7/£8 but not sure how much delivery was on top of that)0 -
Postage is £2.50. Just ordered one. Thanks very much :beer:Some people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0

Watch out - this is a US keyboard. I'm totally sure of all the differences but it may not have a Pound (£) sign and some of the other keys may be slightly different.0

Also some of the keys are “relocated”. If you want to reatin the £ sign key you just set the default in your settings to the UK Keyboard. However, that means the @ sign is shown as (from memory) the " and the " sign on the keyboard becomes @ sign on the screen. Also whatever is shon above 3 becomes the £ sign. There are some others but I cannot recall them. It is really only the £ ans @ the get used frequently.
Sounds confusing but at home we have been using a US keyboard that we bought back from the States over 2 years ago and like most things you just adapt to it. So if the US keyboard is a bargain go for it.0 -
Yup, I lived in Canada for a few years and got used to the US layout, so now I actually have mine mapped to that layout (even though I have a British keyboard!).
Probably the best thing to do would be to set your keyboard in windows as the US layout - that way the keys will behave as they look. As mentioned, most keys are actually in the same place anyway - theres only 2 or 3 that are in different places. You can also (as I have done) map one of the function keys to show the £ sign.0 -
We got one of these a couple of weeks ago.It has a £ sign that works fine. The mouse is o.k but I like our other one(with back, and forward keys )better.I'd agree it's a good deal.0
