Is there a big rugby match on Friday0
-
Programme on now, nice shirt Martin0
-
Yeah, I like the red shirt!
Watching this now for tips, although I'm a good shopper (and do what he says already) ...you never know what tips you may get.0 -
Martin...the tesco you were at is 5 minutes from my house. If you're ever up this way again, feel free to pop in for a cuppa.
Also, who chose the Tesco? The one you went to is not the closest to Kenilworth, though it's the biggest in the area by far. Was that an editorial decision or the one the lady always shops at? If so, she could save some more money on petrolWho made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Got my mam to watch this as I always confuse her about when trying to explain anything MSE - Martin does it so much better.:o
Went down well here. All the girls in catering are talking about the show now, and I got to introduce the site to a few more people :T0 -

Hi, I am the lady in the ITV show with Martin, I didnt get a choice with the location of the Tesco, yes your right, there is one nearer, and I didnt drive so I did save on the petrol, it was good fun though!!0 -
I watched the show on ITV @ 20:00 on Monday 08/Oct (Tonight with Trevor McDonald) --- shame you were on at the same time as the Monday prime-time edition of EastEnders!
I enjoyed the show. The "downshift challenge" was well described... even explaining that sometimes deals on premuim products (carrots was the example) means cheaper than going one step down the "?quality?" scale.
I fail to see how the show could have been improved to be fair. There was a graphical representation of the move down each step of the premium-to-store-brand scale... that got the message across well. The comparison of the bill outside the Tesco was a nice touch. And the "taste challenge" at the end of the show was enlightening!
The daughter complaining about premuim brands being replaced had to be expected - credit to her though for sticking with the challenge, and not giving up at the beginning.
It was very refreshing to see that not every "downgraded" product was similar or better than the "premium" product too --- shows that the report was not bias and that real people were involved....0 -

Anyone know when the Supermarket programme is being repeated? I only noticed it in the schedule this morning but I see it's been moved for a programme on ticket touts!
Sad I missed it.0
