Newly unemployed, interested in free training.

Hi all,
I've recently taken voluntary redundancy. I'm in a reasonable financial position, having a property related pre-tax income of c. £20K/yr, and so don't expect to be entitled to anything in the way of benefits. However, I do intend to work again, but in a totally different field, and wonder if I would be entitled to enrol on some free training courses. I guess I would firstly need to register as unemployed. Can anybody give me any advice on my next moves?

  • (It is worth applying for contributions based jobseekers allowance if you are looking for a new job. You will be entitled to this for 6 months if you have made enough NI contributions over the past 18 months.)
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
