Argos card - April 2007

Looking for some advise regarding an Argos card taken out in April 2007. I used this card on & off to make large home purchases between 2007 - 2014, until I fell into financial difficulties when I split up with my partner. The balance was roughly £800 but is roughly £1300 now with the missed payment charges etc before the account defaulted. It was passed to Fredrickson debt collection but has now been passed back to Argos (home retail group) I was hoping to try and settle the account F&F however they are being less than helpful.
I've had a lot of success settling my other accounts with F&F payments but they have all been with debt collection agencies. Should I wait until this debt is inevitably passed back to a debt collection agency to try for a F&F? I also read that some people have written to Argos asking to provide a CCA and have heard April 2007 mentioned a lot? Should I try to pursue this option? I don't really understand what the CCA means and what to look for?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Google "CCA REQUESTS" for starters.
Original creditors never offer much of a discount, the best deals are to be had when the debts get sold on, not when they are passed on for management, but when there sold.
