Hi All,

Have many seen a spike in their NI house rates this year? Mine increased by 14% which was unexpected and not inline with the area I live in, has anyone else experienced this?

Weird. Done any extension work ?

Asked your neighbours if theirs went up ?

Worth investigating. Ours was the same as last year pretty much

Out of interest if the rating agency sends out a bill for £400 and the a month later sends out a revised bill of £450 for the same term, is it at all bound by the original bill?

assuming you live on a street with similar houses.check the LPS website for the rateable value ,see if yours is more than your neighbours .The other thing that may affect your rates is if your council area amalgamated with a more expensive area.As for two bills a month apart ,no assembly when the first bill was sent.
