Ex pat SIPPS

Options
Hello - does anyone know why it's so difficult to move from one UK SIPP to another if you live abroad and are not UK resident for tax purposes? I really want to go for a low cost one that I can manage myself.

Is it regulatory? Tax?

Or is it possible and if so, how? With who?

Thanks

The SIPP provider would need to hold passporting rights if its within the EU. Not all hold this. So, you would need one that deals with ex pats and has passporting permissions.
