Faulty earphones

I have some Apple In Ear headphones which have gone faulty in the left earbud (Common problem of losing most of the sound). This is my second pair, I had them replaced in February by Argos after the ones before did a similar trick!
Anyway since the new catalogue launch, these have been reduced down to £12.50 for some reason and have been replaced by a new catalogue number (Maybe the remastered ones if the left sound problem was so common they fixed it).
Therefore, if I go in for a exchange they will say OOS. If I have proof of purchase saying I paid £24.99, will they refund me this amount? Meaning I could then buy the new catalogue number with the £24.99 refund

I'm not sure of the official policy, but if you came into my store and explained that you'd had a replacement once already I would give you a refund for £24.990

If you went into any argos store you should be able to show that you have had a replacement in Feb although this may only be by a bit of writing on a receipt but because this was in Feb the store is also entitled to replace the item all be it that they have changed the numer of it, or they could refund you and take a useage charge off, or send for a repair. All this is based on diff circumstances
Hope you get sorted either way0 -
Aslong as you have the reciept stating what you paid etc there should be no problems, earphones are not something Argos repair...0

Thanks...The whole point of taking them to Argos is to get them replaced on the spot - Apple will send a new pair out but it takes time and there is nothing more annoying than being sat on a train without music!0

it took a pair of earphone back 3 weeks ago with proof of purchase and got my money back to get another pair. they were ok about it.you should have no probs.0

Or you could just accidentally damage them, in other words they could fall out of the ear and you coud stand on them resulting in a dinted earing which then in turn is classed as accidenetal damage. So if you have bought the insurance for the accidental damage you get a brand new pair of earing for the sum of the insurance and dont have to fork out for a brand new pair of earings. Which when my iron fell off the ironing board and the bottom fell off i got a brand new iron for the sum of £4.99. Greatts_aly2000 wrote: »Don't bank on it. They tried to sell me accidental damage insurance for a pair of earings. They looked most displeased when I asked if that covered loss. Noting that damaged earings usually end up as lost earings.0
