Hello,
I'm a bit of a lurker on these boards, but they helped me in a time when everything seemed so bleak and I am so grateful for that. Just reading through my old posts makes me realise how tough it was and what a stupid person I'd been.
Anyway. I've been in my dmp since 2011, I have paid off about £24000 in debt since then and I now have only got 12 months left on my dmp! There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
I've checked my credit report and it isn't as bad as I thought, the defaults are starting to drop off so there's hope that in a few years time I'll be able to move house, something I never thought would happen.
Thankyou from the bottom of my heart for all your advice xxx

Glad things are looking up for youPaid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0
