Is there a grant available for this to cover either installation fee or monthly maintenance charge, or both?
Thanks
Thanks

In my area, the weekly cost is not a maintenance charge, it's to pay for the person sitting at the other end taking the calls and alerting family/emergency services if there's a problem.
I'm not aware of any grants to cover it, but the initial installation is only £36 so it's not a huge amount. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

The installation charge quoted for one via AgeNI (they use a crowd called PPP Taking Care) is £99 and then £33 per month, I think.0 -

FoldTelecare looks to be £54 initial payment then £9 per month:

I bought my mUm a Doro phone which has an alarm button built I. You press it and it makes a load noise, good if outside and phones two or three numbers you have listed. Also works as a phone!
Perhaps it could be put on a lanyard and worn round the neck?
My mums is mostly because I worry about her falling in the woods when she is out walking the dogs or feeling ill in the middle of the night.Norn Iron Club member 4730 -

Not sure if it is still the case but you could get varying upfront costs which meant a cheaper or even free monthly/quarterly bill with the age NI system. Iirc it was a one of payment of approx £500 which would mean no further service charge bills.Norn Iron Club member No 3530
