Endowment Questionnaire

Having made my initial complaint about a mis-sold endowment using the "Which" letter. I an now in the midst of completing a Barclays Endowment Questionnaire. Some of the questions asked are of my financial situation when the endowment was taken out and of now. ie. Income, outgoings, savings, investments, pension, windfalls etc. Is all the this information really relevant, if I was mis-sold a policy it has nothing to do with my financial situation now does it?

Yes it does.

You are complaining that you did not know about the risk of investing. So, they are asking questions to verify that or not. There have been a lot of fraudulent complaints where people are just trying it on because of the perceived free money that exists. The questions, depending on how you answer can also help your case as well as hinder it. If you answer truthfully, then you have nothing to fear. If you lie and they catch you out then that can work against you.

They are fishing for info to use as a basis for knocking back your complaint as they have lost or destroyed the original file.Just say you can't remember, have no records etc.

If they have no file, they cannot defend the complaint or rebut what you say happened.So avoid giving them any ammunition.
