Shared Equity mortgage

Please does anyone know of lenders who provide mortgages to people buying shared equity properties? I have had a quote from the Halifax, but would like something I can compare it to. Northern Rock and Yorkshire BS have both said they dont lend on SE houses.
Thanks

Abbey, Norwich & Peterborough do Shared Equity along with Halifax.

I think that Nationwide, IF, Alliance & Leicester, Portman and Leeds & Holbeck do aswell.

I am in between calls at the moment, so cannot say conclusively at the moment, but they should be starting points for you.

I seem to remember that Nationwide do. One other option would be to call up your local housing association and ask them. They should have all that information immediately to hand I would have thought

Can only agree with the posts before me - there are a lot of options available, but the normal warning comes into play of - it depends on your personal circumstances as to which will be best for you.

Thanks for the replys. After 2 days of phone calls and trudging round town I have discovered there are only 3 lenders who will touch the kind of scheme I am buying with - Halifax, Nationwide and Abbey. I just hope I can get a good deal from one of them.
