CCS collection and Vodafone

Hi guys I'm in a bit of a pickle. I had a Vodafone contract which I was able to afford and I made my monthly payments. It was my second contract with Vodafone on the same number. Around 5 months ago some family issues put me under a depressive state which led me to lose my job and I was unable to pay the bill. I should of contacted Vodafone I know but that was the least of my worries at the time. Today I've just had an email from CCS collection stating that I owe £1506.46 when I'm pretty sure my outstanding balance would be around £500 with Vodafone. So the collection agency has put on £1000. I honestly can't afford to pay £1500 as I have a lot of things going out at the moment. What would be the best thing for me to do?

    Ask for a breakdown?

Typcailly Vodafone contracts (and most these days) are 24 months. How many months outstanding?

Collection agencies add nothing to debts, they are not allowed to do so unless the original contract allows it, 99.9% do not allow this.

They are simply collecting the outstanding debt on behalf of Vodafone.

The contract will of been allowed to expire, you are then responsible for the remaining months of the contract after you defaulted, plus whatever was outstanding prior to that.

  • Hi everyone. I am just having vofafone bulying me to pay outstanding balance of £40 something for nothing.
I did finnish my contract with them as i was constantly charged for spotify which should be part of my package and was sick of endles promises over a year that is going to stop.So I said to them take those £40 off of that crazy spotify u charged me and they agreed several times. I even have proof of their email which state that its all sorted my account is now clean nothing to pay anyomore and blah blah... And guess what? after that I obtained my pac code and I am on 3 since September but they are still sending me bill every month and now they even send me CCS collect letter to come and collect some £46. I am really now considering to take legal action against vodafone and even go to local newspapers just to show how they from one of the best providers became something verry bad and ugly. and if I find that they damaged my credit score than we need to see each others on court. Anyone had this experience??? Thanks

  • Hello

i’m getting hassled by CCS Collect for an alleged £15 debt owed to Vodafone. I last dealt with Vodafone c6 months ago and as I arranged my mobile phone contract change through Carphone Warehouse I assumed that was the end of it. Not once since then has Vodafone said I owed them any money nor chased me for it. Then out of the blue CCS collect start pestering me. Can this please be stopped
