Arrgh didnt think it would be a problem as I have changed broadband suppliers in the past with no issue whilst on a DMP but attempted to switch from plusnet to ee but have been refused due to credit check. I thought it would be similar to car insurance etc where theres no problem. Is there any way of checking which broadband suppliers dont credit check you?
Wondered if I should reapply using wifes details but I dont know if that will mske it worse?

A quick Google search brought this up :
"Alas, the vast majority of BT packages require credit checks, but there's one option that doesn't. BT Basic is discounted line rental designed for people who are on benefits or have low income - and you can add a bit of broadband onto that as well.
It's not exactly a hefty broadband package - your download limit is only 10GB per month - but it's better than nothing.
To apply, you'll just need to give some personal details, including your date of birth and National Insurance number. See BT's website for more information on its Basic service."
It seems strange though, as i swapped provider in the midst of an IVA with 15 defaults on my credit file, work that one out ???I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I doubt it, only applications for credit are recorded, no way to record if you obtained it or not.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
