Inheritance vs student loan what can they take?
Hi,
Been looking round for any information on this but really cant seem to find anything at all.
Basically I have a student loan that I am currently not paying back due to salary not being high enough and I have been asked a question from a relative of:
"what will I actually get to keep when I(the relative) pop my cloggs? i.e. can the student loans company take or demand any of this inheritance?"
Can anyone help as I understand that tax wise I wouldnt have to pay anything on this as its going to be around £15k-£40k inheritance (thats a guess) so ultimately I wanted to know what will be taken from me?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

AFAIK they won't/can't take anything, not sure if they can include interest from savings but I doubt that anyway the interest atm on 40k would be around £400 a year.0
