Where to buy reading glasses

Where to buy reading glasses

Does anyone know where on the high street you can buy ordinary reading glasses?

Google is being very annoying when searching taking you mainly to prescription glasses after clicking on the results.

I saw some in Boots and the pound shop has/ had them.
  • Boots is one of those annoying web sites that only finds the prescription ones when you search on it. Searching with in Boots for "glasses" takes you to their optician. Clicking on "non-prescription glasses" under Boots in Google takes you to Boots optician. How annoying is that?

    Hi ballisticbrian

If you type 'reading glasses' into the search on the Poundland website, it brings up quite a few options.

Other budget stores such as PoundStretcher and B&M sell them too.

Try a few pairs in store, to find the strength that suits you best.

    Regards

Even if you aren't going to get your glasses from an optician you should still have a proper eye test.
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Comes round on the cycle of Lidl offers quite often
  • I get mine from Ebay , just search reading glasses then strength eg 2.5, 3.0 .
I got some recently from China as they had bigger size lenses. I find the ones in Poundland have very small size lenses. There are some Rayban style pairs from UK suppliers for £1.99.

Typing 'reading glasses' into the Boots search box works for me.
