Company Car ??

Hi, I've been working for a company on a self employed contract basis.
They supplied me with a car to perform my duties.
All of the mileage I did was business and no private mileage reported.
The company invoiced me for the use of the car on a quarterly basis.
They then asked me to re invoice them back for the same amount in order that I was not charged for the car.
They reimbursed me @ £0.09p per mile.
Is this policy correct ? The HMRC were not advised by the company.
