In my house we can only put the decorations up after my brothers birthday which is the 13th. When I was little me my brother and sister used to watch Ernest saves Christmas on Christmas Eve morning0

Something I remember as a tradition when I was a kid (a long while ago now) was called snapdragons. It's a bit messy but fun. You put some sultanas in a metal pan, warm some brandy up, pour it over the raisons, turn out out the lights and then light the brandy with a match. The idea is to pick out and eat all the sultanas while the flames are lit! Health and safety would probably have a fit these days. never heard of anyone else doing this but would love to hear where this orginated from.0
