ARC Europe Ltd - supposed debt

I received a text message from ARC Europe Ltd asking me to ring them. I assume its for a debt, they have not sent me any letters. I have no idea what this debt possibly is. Do I ignore them, phone them to find out what this debt is. I have heard terrible things about how this 'company' goes about its business so I'm unsure as of what to do.

Hi,
You dont need to respond to texts no.
Its whats known in the trade as a "fishing trip".

It's quite possible a dozen other people with the same name as yours will have received the same text. They will probably be trying to find the right one who owes the debt.
As 'Sourcrates' accurately says, it's a fishing trip to see who they can catch, and can safely be ignored."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
thanks for the advice. I just received the letter, however the debt they claim I owe was paid off over a month ago. Furthermore they say if I do not respond in the next 14 days they will inform LV (who he apparent debt is with) of the fact I have not acted.
LV have had their money, I literally have nothing to owe.
Do I need to respond to these guys at all?0 -

Just send a quick letter informing them the debt is paid and they should refer back to their client for conformation.

You could ignore it as advised but in your position I would contact LV. Mistakes happen and while you wont have to pay money you don't owe, a quick call and request for something in writing to say you don't owe anything could prevent weeks or months of annoying contact or attempted contact.Aiming to make £7,500 online in 20220
