Job interview requiring photo countersignature

So further to my earlier post I have been invited to a second interview on Thursday.

I have no passport or driving licence so I need to get a passport photo and document signed by someone who meets the passport countersign criteria and I am struggling badly.

I live in an area where I don't know many people, I have been here almost 2 years so most people I know are from work but I'm not sure if they will sign it for me.

Any ideas? I have a long term friend who will and she works for a large family company but it's not on the list.

I'm going to phone the company tomorrow and see if it is ok but I am on limited time.

If you don't have a passport, you are also going to need to find your birth certificate to establish your right to work in the UK (assuming your birth certificate indicates that you have that right). No counter-signed photo is going to be enough on its own, although an employer may well (and quite reasonably) require photo evidence of some kind, because anyone can obtain a birth certificate!
Signature removed for peace of mind

Don't tell them its for a job interview then, say its for a passport/Driving License application

GP - but they will charge you and won't be too happy if you don't explain upfront.

The Post Office offers a document certification service. Maybe check if that would help?

ISTR that GPs have been stopped from doing countersigning unless they actually do know you personally rather than just you being a patient on thier books
