Totally free and great fun.

Events throughout the day and evening.

Been every year since it started.

Not sure if I will bother this year and I have seen every air display already and I am not sure yet if there will be anything different this year.

Be warned though that if you follow council signs for car parking for the air show, you will be asked to pay £12 for parking. If you follow signs for the air show itself, you will find car parks charging less than £6. .

If I go, I will park for free. I can't say where, as there is only a few spaces and I will be one of them.

Programmes will cost £8. If you want an overview of air display, go to :

Mmmm...Anyone else starting to think that this may not be totally free ?

    Saw it today.

    Got free car parking.

Crowds were not as good as previous years.

Displays were ok but not great.

For the first time that I can remember at the display, I saw 2 policeman with machine guns. Spoke to a couple next to us, who advised that they had seen police with machine guns in Bournemouth for a few days. Not surprising with the terrorist events of the last few months but disappointing to see.

I reckon that the event may need some new ideas for if it to stay.

Left after the Red Arrows had did their bit.

Last day was cancelled due to poor weather and the council has reported that there may be 'marginal losses' for the 4-day event.

    See :

As I said in my previous post, they need to generate some new ideas or people will lose interest.

I hope your friendly estate agent didn't object too forcibly. ;)
