NI building regs.

Options
Hey folks.

I was wondering can anyone help.

Does anyone know when building regs need to be granted or property inspected when renovating an old house? Planning permisson was saught and granted for a complete new build to replace the existing property.

However work has started the existing building instead (concrete being laid) etc and I was wondering if this is something building regs would be needed for?

Tried google and it was very confusing! Lol

Thanks in advance!!

Best thing to do is ring building control at your local council and ask for a site visit to discuss what needs to be seen by them and when.

Planning permission & building control are 2 different things, so you will need to submit your fee to building control for the proposed works before they will even entertain coming out to your property and yes, laid concrete (founds/floors ?) will probably want to be inspected before you go much further or they could ask you to expose / dig some up for verifcation
