55 inch TV - can I handle on my own?

I'm after getting a new 55 inch TV.
Got the option for home delivery in a week's time or pick up from store on Tuesday.
I'd like it on Tuesday but I need to get it up two flights of stairs. Anyone know if these things are too big/heavy/awkward to manage on one's own, or should I wait for delivery?

Ungainly but often not overly heavy

The TV itself wont be too heavy but it's the large box they come in that might make it awkward and it's not the sort of thing you want to be bumping up a set of stairs.
Have you got a friend or neighbour who might be able to help?0 -
get one of the curved ones, easier to go round cornersGONE ENGLAND0

Don't forget the box is going to be a fair bit bigger than the telly, with the polystyrene blocks supporting it in the corners. I've stupidly managed a lot of things most people wouldn't attempt (washer dryer up 2 flights of stairs when even the blokes at work said they wouldn't be able to manage it) but this is one thing where I'd wait for delivery. Wait.
EDIT: Sorry, I've only just spotted the date. Ignore me.
Out of curiosity did you attempt it yourself?0 -
Yes I did manage it myself. Dragged it up the stairs carefully, wasn't really too difficult in the end. A double mattress was a bit trickier, but still doable.0
