help please!

Hi,
Ive been looking and preparing for bankruptcy next month (have spoke to stepchange etc) but was wondering what to do about my credit card bills during the 28days when the application is being processed.
ie
I get paid on 1st sept
I know to take what pay i need to cover cost of living etc over the month

what do i do about my several credit card bills that have a direct debit on them? do i have to pay them?

    Stop paying them. Application only takes a couple of days to be processed.

    I agree cancel the direct debits and make no further payments, there is no point.
    You will no doubt get calls etc just tell them you are taking advice from a debt charity, it will all be included in your B.R

    As above, cancel direct debts, do not make any further payments to your unsecured creditors.

    Stepchange should of told you this surely ?

    Sorry to sound harsh, but if you've been "preparing for Bankruptcy" how come you haven't even missed a creditor payment as yet ?

  • thanks for all the advice, ive been thinking ahead and know that alot of my balance transfers 0% is ending soon, and basicslly been surviving by living on credit.
    SC have recommended bankruptcy as i have £30 free cash after other expenses, im still waiting for a call back off them which im.gonna follow up this week
