Any day off on my last working week

Hi everybody,
I didn't manage to find out if I am entitled of a day off on my last working week. My last day will be a Friday, the place where I work is open 7 days a week so every week different days off. But as my last week will start on Monday to end on Friday (so it can't be Sat-Sun off) should I have by law a day off working 5 days? I work 40 hours a week.
Thanks

    What?!!

No, you're not entitled to a day off if you're only working five days out of seven. If you want a day off ask if you can book it as holiday.

I didn't understand either. What hours do you think the majority of the workforce work? Monday to Friday, for sure..... Have we misunderstood your question?

You imply that 40 hours is a lot - sorry, it's not, although the WTD stops employers insisting that you work more than 48 hours on average, without your permission.
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
  • Ok thanks it was just a silly question
  • Maybe you'll be rewarded in new job if that's also a 7 day operation.

I only started and 2 days in got a day off due to working weekend where it's a 7 day operation.

Our rota days off make no immediate sense looking at it as a month but then it works on average hours per each week.

Basically the answer is No you aren't entitled to any time off in the final week. You are contracted 40 hours per week and if you work Monday to Friday this week, that will be 40 hours.
