Car allowance - eligibile for Mileage Allowance Relief

Hi
Was just hoping to get some insight into mileage allowance relief when receiving a car allowance from an employer.
I receive a car allowance from my company (£6K per year).
My company reimburses me 11p per mile for business related journeys.
Am I able to claim Mileage allowance relief up to the HMRC AMAP rates?
It is my personal car - I just wonder if the car allowance I receive effects the mileage allowance relief?

You can claim mileage allowance relief after subtracting the 11p/mile. As far as HMRC is concerned a car allowance is just extra salary. There is no link to the car.0
