Nevertheless.....
In my last job I had to authorise every single payroll (normally paid on 25th). Every year we had a big discussion about when to pay the December payroll. One year it had to be paid on 15th......Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

And of course no one should have sent on a credit card, ever need to use a food bank, or default on a payment. Whilst in principle I agree, the real world for much of the population that is impossible and to make that sort of claim shows a real ignorance to real world lives.
To OP normally you will be paid last working day before the date if it falls on a weekend. I have been some places though where you are paid Friday if it would have fallen on Saturday or Monday if it would have fallen SundayAn answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......0 -
We get paid on a set day and if it's a weekend it appears on a Monday. But it does depend who you bank with as some appeared earlier than mine does:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

I used to work in payroll for a company which had a very similar clause. As others have said, we would bring the pay date forward to the closest working day to the 28th if it fell on a bank holiday or weekend. It's a fairly common practice.
What I would do in your case is to ask your colleagues - possibly the payroll department themselves - if there is a list of pay dates for the year. It may be on your company's intranet. The exact pay dates are often set for the full financial or calendar year pretty early on. If you ask they may provide you with a list of exact dates which would help with your own planning.0
