Argos electric cooker safety check???

A friend of mine ordered an electric cooker online from Argos. Then she got a phonecall from someone telling her that they won't be delivering the cooker before doing a safety check, and then he asked her if she had a tape measure.
She can't find anything about that safety check on the argos website, or online for that matter. And that wasn't mentioned anywhere when she ordered the cooker.
Has anyone heard about this? Last time she bought a cooker, they've delivered it without problems, and what kind of safety check is this that it's made on the. phone?
Is it only argos or all the shops are doing it?

I've searched the Argos site and can't find anything about this or any other site.
Just a thought but could it be a new safety check that's been brought in since the Grenfell fire.0 -
I assume they are installing as well so maybe the tape measure is to either check for the statutory clearances or fit in the gap before they deliver (and have to take it away again).0

I can't see anything about any installation included for that particular cooker on the website. And if it was even a new thing, it would be somewhere on the website, maybe within the check out process, as they won't deliver without that check, and you would find something by googling for it, but nothing is there. She never had to do that with her current cooker, they've delivered it and that was it, that was 8 years ago.
So we can't find anything about it nowhere, but they won't deliver what she bought until she comply to their safety check?
I know that if it was me I would tell them where to stick their cooker.
But I wonder whether it's only Argos or all the other stores are at it.
Would be interesting to know.0 -
You would think if it was official that they would have their own tape measure lmao0

They do have tape measures, but saves a lot of time and a wasted journey if they know it will actually be possible to install it, before they WASTE their 'kin time travelling there . . . lol0
