Need help please,
Other than cornflake/rice krispie chocolate cakes what can I do with leftover/OOD cereals? None of the family seem to eat them anymore but I'm loathe to just throw them out.

Feed the birds, I've always found that they go for out of date cereal like anything, they can't read the best before dates!I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0

Ok, thanks, that'll be my last resort - I'd rather use it for the hungry beaks indoors though0

Golden syrup tart ,pastry case baked blind for 10 minutes then chuck in smashed up cereal and pour golden syrup over the top and lattice it with strips of left over pastry .cook until pasrty is golden and beautiful as a cheap pudding with thick gloopy custard on top0

Scrunch up cereals and add some nuts and dried fruit and make breakfast bars.
Good for lunch boxes and after-school snacks.
I don't have a recipe to hand but there there must be one somewhere.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Scrunch them up with a rolling pin and use them as part of toppings for things like crumbles and gratins (if they're not sweetened in the latter case). Also you can use them as coatings for oven chicken or croquettes, things of that kind and even replace a proportion of the flour in cakes with an ounce (25g) or so of them you won't know they're in the finished product. Flapjacks too can have a couple of ounces of oats replaced with cereals that are scrunched up with no difference to the flavour or the end product.0

If they aren't sweet, you could scrunch some up and add it to stuffing. Those that contain dried fruit can have Morroccan-style spices added to become more savoury. (Think roast chicken Moroccan style.)"Be the type of woman that when you get out of bed in the morning, the devil says 'Oh crap. She's up.'

Add some sweetened cereal to a bread pudding for extra texture.
Unsweetened cornflakes can be used to coat fish.
And unsweetened rice pops gives an interesting texture for coated chicken if you make your own nuggets.0 -
Thanks all - some great ideas!0
