Declined a job interview

I have declined a job interview as I don't think I am experienced and suitable for the time being.

If that job was advertised again in the future, and I apply for it (probably be ready by then), do you think I would get a straight decline?

It's really impossible to say, and there'd only be one way to find out.
  • How far in the future? In three years it would very likely be completely different people handling it.

Is this for potential internal promotion or did you apply for an external role and have now thought better of it?

I think you should try to go for it once you have the right skills. You don't want to have any regrets:)

IMHO declining an interview is not a good thing. Interview experience is always worthwhile, however poorly you think you may have performed. You could find that you have strengths or talents which would be useful in that job.

Let the interviewer decide if you don't have the experience or suitability.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
