Gastric Bypass

Hi, I need gastric bypass surgery which in the UK costs around £11000, I was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere that does interest free credit for this procedure, many advertise they do but want payment within 12 months which I cannot afford, over 60 months they increase the apr to 9.9 or 16.9 depending on which surgery you use.
Any help truly appreciated.
Many thanks :)

Is the NHS waiting list too long?

I was offered it about 3 yrs ago but got to the consent form then backed out, i felt the folds of skin were a far worse option that the weight . I have been losing weight very slowly but as long as its heading in the right direction im ok with the pace.

You could get a lot of time from a personal trainer/life coach/dietician for a lot less money.

Is an operation the only option?

I'd think nobody would undergo surgery unless they'd tried a PT &^ a million other things, but it's unusual to not be able to lose weight, even if slow.

I'm someone who was around double the weight I should be for my height & had spent around 17 yrs trying to lose it, only to gain it back & more. I got my PT in January 2015 & finally it works (plus the weight lifting will help with any skin issues, but none after 89Ibs)

Sadly idk anywhere that does credit, but with me at least (& of course I don't know your story) I knew it was psychological not physical, and knew in that case weight loss surgery wouldn't work. I'd consider, if you didn't yet, therapy for eating issues if that is the cause of it, and maybe a PT.

Whatever you do I hope you find the help you need, people have no idea how hard it is to lose and how much £ we all pay in trying x

Ahh back in the world of people who have nothing to do but b!!!!

I'm sure that as an adult, the OP can choose to take or ignore any & all advice here . . . personally, if i'd posted this question i'd've been glad if someone had suggested trying a PT, as it's something i'd never thought of & I was seriously overweight

The whole reason I did get a PT, and finally be able to lose it, was due to someone else suggesting it, so in the nicest possible way, butt out

Try Spire Hospitals, I'm not sure what their finance arrangements are currently though.
