Where to get a flu jab?

My hubby is self employed & last year got the flu jab from boots, but I can't find anything on their website about it yet this year.
Apart from free ones at doctors, does anyone know where they are doing the £15 (ish) ones you pay for?
I know supermarkets have done them in the past. But not lately AFAIK.
I may get one too, worth it not to get flu I think:beer:
I know there is a thread on the flu jab, but thats about the rights & wrongs of paying for it. I'm not disputing paying for it, just wondering where I can get it done.

Have you asked at your local surgery? Even if you're not entitled to a free jab, they may be willing to do it for the cost of a prescription - very moneysaving!Signature removed for peace of mind0

Hello kimevans
That's good advice from Savvy_Sue. I'm pretty sure that the flu jabs were available in November 2006 (so you're a bit early yet;) ) and certain that they cost £12.
My GP surgery told me last year that if I was prepared to wait until they'd given the flu jab to the elderly patients, if they had any vaccines left over we could have one free.
I didn't want to risk the wait and find that they'd all gone................and also miss my chance of the Asda flu jabs all going too. I remember last year that the Morrisons flu jabs went like hot cakes.;)

In Superdrug at the moment flu jabs for £9.95!
Hope that helps.Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. ~ Mother Teresa0 -

I had mine done by Boots last year as my GP did not get the vaccine in for ages. But he has had it for a week now so hubby and I are going tonight. Our practice gives it out for free to everyone. Even if not - my office reimbursed me the £15 last year!

I had a flu jab at Superdrug last week. I didn't need to make an appointment, I just had it done there and then.
The cost was £9.95 and unlike some people who feel rubbish afterwards or get cold/flu symptoms.............I was absolutely fine, not even an aching arm.:cool:10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j [/COLOR]:cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. I am not entitled to a free jab so I had it done at my local Boots yesterday,it was £12.99,plus 150 extra Advantage points with a coupon in the Boots magazine. It is the first time I have had a flu jab,but no side effects so far and no sore arm either.0
