We have a couple of famous names on our customer list (tv presenter and famous ex footballer) and we used to have a tv actor (now deceased), we also have a member of the house of lords. customer confidentiality prohibits me from saying who they are. We don't hold it against them and give the same customer experience as we strive to give all our customers.

Worked for John Reid, Elton John's manager at the time. The accountant was the man who appeared in court as his replacement manager last year I think. The accountant was a very nice decent man.., I can't say the same for either Elton John (was decades ago) or John Reid (he was a really nasty man).

I do remember John Reid had a boyfriend.., and he was SO good looking. I was only 18 at the time and he used to flirt just to see us blush. Couldn't help it, even knowing his orientation. Used to make us all laugh afterwards. It was a bit of a game.

I did get sacked from the job shortly after John Reid phoned in and I wasn't able to find the person he wanted to speak to (it was lunch time) but it has to be said I didn't really know reception work well then and hadn't asked where everyone was going to lunch. The words that came down the phone while I was trying to find these people were enough to turn the air solid. I was lunch time relief in a small company lol.

It was fun to work there til that happened. We had a very good Xmas do, and it showed me another side of life. People used to keep their passports in the office in case something needed to be taken to Elton or his team while they were on tour (like I said, was decades ago). I remember the accountant travelled all the way to the US to show Elton an LP cover, was told it was (insert any chosen rude word) and then he came home again!

I used to work with the son of a reasonably famous actress (I can't say who though)

Why? Will they suddenly burst into flames or something?

I've sold glasses to a SPL footballer and a newsreader. They were filming a zombie movie down from my work and a "runner" came in with a very famous persons glasses to be fixed as an emergency.

I have an uncle who is famous-ish. He has a production company and a comedy TV show that's a bit of a hit in scotland but we don't talk about him because he's an arishole (no it's not Frankie Boyle).
