Cost of Childcare in NI?

Good Morning,

we only recently moved from abroad to Newry. My wife and I are both working, but currently considering having a baby. So we are just trying to figure out if we can continue our current lifestyle with one income or if we would need both incomes.

But unfortunately we have no idea how much childcare (Creche, Kindergarten) costs here. Could you maybe give me a ballpark figure from your own experiences? How much can we expect to pay?

From my experiance around £500-550 per month full time

I agree with the above poster, I paid £125 per week for one child in a daycare nursery although I did get a percentage of it paid for in tax credits.

Our childcare costs with a registered childminder are £3 per hour. This is the part-time rate as our child now attends nursery. When our child was at the childminder on a full-time basis, it was £2.50 per hour.
